Your Dollar, Your Voice

BOYCOTTOur democracy is under pressure, and every choice we make matters — including where we spend our money. That’s why Democratic clubs across California are participating in a Democratic Economic Boycott, using coordinated consumer action to hold powerful corporations accountable for supporting MAGA-aligned extremism.

Current boycott focus: Amazon Discretionary Services

Why Amazon Is This Month’s Focus

Amazon is one of the most powerful corporate enablers of MAGA extremism and mass-detention policies — and it is uniquely vulnerable to coordinated consumer action. Many households quietly spend $50–$80 a month on Amazon subscriptions alone: Prime (~$15), Audible (~$15), Amazon Music (~$10), Prime Video (~$9), Kindle Unlimited (~$12), and Amazon Fresh delivery fees. That’s hundreds of dollars each year per household, flowing automatically to a single corporation.

Canceling even a few of these services sends real economic and reputational pressure when done collectively.

What members can do now:

Cancel discretionary services, such as Amazon Prime, Prime Video, Amazon Music, Audible, Kindle Unlimited, and Amazon Fresh.

By canceling discretionary Amazon services, participants apply visible, sustained, and manageable economic pressure. History shows that when large numbers of people act together, even the most powerful corporations respond.

Until the ICE masks come off, until the murders of Americans stop, until ICE leaves American Cities, the Boycott of Amazon continues.

If you continue to use Amazon for purchases, be intentional. Avoid promoted products. Reduce engagement. And most importantly, talk about why — with friends, family, and online – visibility matters.

The boycott does not require perfection. It’s about participation and impact. Even canceling one subscription or redirecting one regular purchase helps. When thousands of Democrats make small, intentional changes together, the economic signal becomes impossible to ignore.
