Dear members and supporters,
There will be at least 14 ballot initiatives on the upcoming November ballot. Last month we polled the members to find out which ones to talk about, and will be focusing at this month’s meeting on the top 5 vote getters:
Proposition 1: Housing bond: borrows $11.25 billion for housing
Proposition 4: Allows public financing of political campaigns
Proposition 40: Billionaire tax: one-time tax to fund healthcare, food assistance & education, and Prop 41 and Prop 42, which would nullify Prop 40
Proposition 43: New 2/3rds voting tax threshold on special tax measures (like the ones we just passed in Benicia)
Proposition 45: Limits CEQA environmental review
You may be able to guess which ones the California Democratic Party supports and which ones CADEM opposes. You may be surprised. You’ll find out at this meeting.

for the link. If you don’t get the email, but think you are a member you may have forgotten to pay your dues. You can do that at our website here. Only current members may vote for endorsements. If you have joined for the first time within 60 days of the vote you are not eligible to vote.
