Dear members and supporters,
On our agenda this month:
Prop.50: The legislature just put Prop 50, the Election Rigging Response Act on the ballot. But what is it and should we support it? At our next meeting at 7 pm, in addition to postcarding, we will hear about Prop. 50.
Postcarding: We know that postcards increase voter turnout enough to change election results. Come join us on Sept 9 at 6:30 to write postcards. We will be encouraging likely Democratic voters in Virginia to vote in the general election on Nov. 4. We will write postcards in person because that’s more fun, but we will also drop off postcards, addresses and instructions to your home if you can’t come. Just email us.
How will we do these two things at once? We’re going hybrid! The Prop 50 part of the meeting at 7 will be on zoom and the postcarders will be able to watch it while working. For those writing postcards please come at 6:30 pm. There will be refreshments.
