Prop 50 and NO KINGS DAY

Dear members and supporters,
There will be no October PDB meeting, but we encourage you to support the Prop 50 campaign and attend a local No Kings Day event on Oct. 18. You can find more information on these campaigns below:
Prop 50 – Help Take Back the House
Help pass Prop 50 to level the playing field so we can take back the House. Prop 50 is a temporary redistricting measure done in response to Texas redistricting that will be on your ballots next month.
Here are things you can to help drive support for the measure, please sign up:

- Canvasses in Benicia on 10/19 (10 to 2), 10/25 (9:30 to 1:30).

- Canvass your own neighborhood when you want to PDI on the go.

NO KINGS DAY Benicia – October 18th

Assemblymember Lori Wilson at Benicia City Hall
Assemblymember Lori Wilson will be at Benicia City Hall on
Wednesday, October 15th from 10 AM to 12 PM. She’ll provide a legislative update along with a Q&A segment. One on one appointments slots will be available from 1:00 PM – 4:45 PM and you can schedule one here.
Presentation on Christian Nationalism – October 26
On Sunday, October 26 at 4 p.m. attend a presentation on the roots and impact of Christian Nationalism. This ideology is the fusion of a particular take on Christianity with a vision of the United States as the birthright of the descendants of white Christian European settlers; it undergirds Project 2025 and has many adherents in the current administration. This will take place at the Community Congregational United Church of Christ, 1305 W. 2nd St, Benicia.
