Additional News

We’re just a week away from the September 14th election recall vote, and on September 9th we’re making another push to get Democrats to turn out—whether it’s by ballot or at the polls. Many of our members and supporters have been working tirelessly over the past days and weeks, making sure their family members, friends, and neighbors mail in their ballots or plan to vote at the polls on September 14th

Join us this Thursday at 7 pm to help us ensure Republicans don’t succeed in what they were unable to do in 2018 when they lost to Governor Newsom by almost 3 million votes! We need all your help in these final days to get Democrats to mail in their ballots or go to the polls. And please, tell your friends and neighbors, call your families, and post to social media—remind everyone to VOTE NO!

We’ll also…

  • Celebrate the unsuccessful local effort to try and recall two PDB-supported BUSD school Board members. Those misguided and uninformed individuals pushing the BUSD recall received less than 200 of the 4,000+ signatures needed to qualify for a recall election. Thank you Benicians!
  • Share news of a discussion to be held at an upcoming Board of Supervisors meeting regarding consideration of an oversight committee that could assist the Sheriff’s Office and help investigate potential misconduct. We’ll need your help on this matter as well to show the Supervisors there is countywide support for the oversight committee. More on this to come.

Also, please mark your calendars for PDB’s upcoming programs in October and November:

  • October 12th: Post-election wrap—Where do we go from here?
  • November 9th: Biofuels—Renewable solutions or just more emissions?

See you this Thursday, September 9th, at 7 pm!!! Also, be sure and visit the PDB website and let us know if you have any questions, suggestions, or concerns—we’d love to hear from you!
