Many thanks to Benicia videographer Dr. Constance Beutel, who filmed our March 18 Town Hall with U.S. Congressman Mike Thompson at the Benicia Senior Center. The event was co-sponsored by Progressive Democrats of Benicia, Carquinez Patriotic Resistance, and Vallejo-Benicia Indivisible for Justice.
On Thursday, March 21, Touro University California (TUC) will host the 2019 Defining a Woman’s Agenda, a dialogue celebrating local women’s voices on a variety of issues facing society today. TUC students will facilitate a discussion on topics related to women’s rights, building community, and equity. Topics will range from health, wage equality, sexism, and more.
It is important for women’s voices to have a platform to inspire the community, network with each other and build a program of action to promote women’s rights. The forum will serve as an opportunity to celebrate the women who are shaping our community and connect TUC students with local leaders to talk about the issues facing women today and brainstorm potential solutions.
All are welcome to gather, learn, collaborate and network. Register online at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/defining-a-womens-agenda-for-vallejo-tickets-58022771672.
