Food Co-op & Candidate Endorsements
Our next General Membership meeting is coming up! On Tuesday, November 12th, we will hear from Paula Schnese representing Cultivate Community Food Co-op.
Cultivate Community Food Co-op is Solano County’s first community-owned, natural grocery store dedicated to providing high-quality, locally-sourced, culturally-relevant, ethically-produced and affordable products. “We are committed to creating and maintaining a more sustainable economy with a just and equitable future for our farmers, artisans, and owners by decreasing the physical and social distance between producers and consumers.
We will also INTERVIEW AND VOTE ON CANDIDATE ENDORSEMENTS FOR THE March 3, 2020 primary election:
- For U.S. Congress District 5: Mike Thompson (or his rep) and Jason Kishineff
- For Solano County District 2 Supervisor: Monica Brown (incumbent), K. Patrice Williams, and Rochelle Sherlock
Paid members of Progressive Democrats of Benicia can vote. (from our bylaws: New Members shall be entitled to vote on all Club matters sixty (60) days after payment of dues. Existing members, upon payment of membership renewal dues, shall be eligible immediately to vote on all Club matters.) Note that the Steering Committee is not endorsing candidates for the March election.
