Don't miss PDB’s Membership Meeting Tuesday, April 12th at 7:00 pm. It promises to be yet another interesting program!
Climate change and action-based solutions presented by local climate activists is this month’s topic. You will also hear from Sharon Henry, candidate for Solano County District Attorney in the June 7 primary election.
Climate change speakers will include:
- Ben Keller, 350 Bay Area Action, will discuss activities taking place at the state level.
- Nik Evasco, 350 Bay Area, will provide information about campaigns around building decarbonization as a means of reducing carbon emissions, drilling in Contra Costa County and other measures to fight climate change.
- Lindsay Wray, Chair of the City of Benicia’s Community Sustainability Commission, will address the local perspective and response.
Sharon Henry will discuss her candidacy for Solano County District Attorney. Because there are only two candidates in the race for DA, it is likely to be decided at the June 7 primary election, rather than on November 8th. Ms. Henry's presentation will explain why she is running and what she hopes to change in the DA’s office.
